This activity was a total, complete, 100% hit! There was so much smiling and giggling and squealing!
We made love potions.
Something to protect your counters (like a cookie sheet).
I dumped baking soda and vinegar into separate glasses and placed them on two separate cookie sheets. I also put different colors of food coloring on each tray, an empty glass and a spoon.
I didn't tell the kids what was going to happen, just that we were going to make love potions. I suggested they dump a spoonful of baking soda in the cup, add a couple drops of food coloring and pour some vinegar in.
The first time they did it, they LOVED it! Then they continued to love it just as much each time they did it for the next 300 times.
Okay, maybe it was only 200 times.
So much fun!
Now. Who should we have drink our potion? :)
I'm also excited to give these to the boys. Each boy is receiving a Valentine from me based on his favorite book.
Mercy Watson for Mowgli
Guess How Much I Love You for Bud.
Brown Bear Brown Bear for Hawk.
And this one for The Mr. Which has nothing to do with books.
