I did something today I didn't want to do.
But, I'm glad I did.
Let me tell you what I did want to do.
I wanted to put the baby down for his nap.
Get the big boys dressed in their snow gear and scoot them out the door.
Then cozy up with my book and some hot lunch.
But that's not what I did.
Well, I did put this stinker down for a nap
but then...
I put on my snow pants. (They were a bit snug. I'm not sure how snow skiing in 2 months is going to work out, since it's already getting tight in there!)
My gloves.
My hat.
My neck warmer.
My mittens.
My boots.
And I walked out the door with my boys.
I shoveled the walk for The Mr. He's really sick and I'm sad for him. He will be happy to come home from work tonight to see that he doesn't have to shovel snow.
But then I stayed and played with my boys.
I taught them how to play Fox and Hound. I loved playing it when I was a child. You make pathways and play tag, but must remain in the pathway.
We made snow angels.
I threw snowballs at them.
We made a memory.
From the book I am reading, "The days are long but the years are short."
